Artist's Statement Havana, Cuba I was in Havana in the Spring of 2000 involved in a cultural exchange program, teaching a workshop and exploring Havana's wonders. Being in Havana is very much like living in a ruin with its history crumbling before your eyes as its spirited peoples revel in life's obstacles. Boston Ballet I am looking at dance in an extended time frame in an effort to explore it in its most basic forms; to feel the energy of bodies moving or about to move, and to reveal what perhaps I can only sense. Gestures I am intriqued by ambiquity, gesture, universality and the spirit of our fleeting humanity. The Times Square Gym Images from Goodman's 1996 Monograph, "The Times Square Gym" were widely exhibited in the United States and Canada, and bore witness to the final days of a great boxing gym before "progress" made its way to Times Square. ![]()
