SoHo Photo exhibits the work of Builder Levy, Dec 5-30, 2006. The gallery is located at 15 White Street in TriBeCa, open Thursdays 6-8 pm and Fri-Sun 1-6 pm.


In conjunction with the publication of her new book, Angels in Africa, works by Beth O'Donnell are on exhibit at the Holly Hunt Showroom, 150 East 58th Street, November 2-December 1. Exhibition curated by June Bateman. Angels in Africa (October 2006, $35 hardcover) introduces readers to seven visionary African women who have devoted their lives to overcoming Africa's issues for themselves, their peers, and future generations.


Signs of Light: Recent Work by David Slovic is on view Sept 14-Nov 23 at the Borowsky and Open Lens Galleries of the Gershman Y Galleries, 401 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA.


Works by June Bateman Fine Arts artists Millie Falcaro, Maura Sullivan, Victor Freidman, and Harvey Stein are featured in the hit film, The Devil Wears Prada. Their photographs grace the walls of Miranda Priestly's office.

Builder Levy has been awarded a 2004 Alicia Patterson Foundation Fellowship. He plans to use the $35,000 grant to revisit the Appalachian coalfields.

Elizabeth Gilbert's book, Broken Spears: A Maasai Journey is featured in the December 2003 issue of American Photo magazine.

Ms. Gilbert's book Broken Spears: A Maasai Journey will also be featured in the New York Times Book Review the week of Nov. 17.

Ms. Gilbert will lecture on her body of work "Broken Spears: A Maasai Journey" at the Explorers' Club, 46 East 70th Street, on Nov. 17th from 6:30pm-8:45pm. Tickets are $15 / $5 for students; call the Explorers' Club at (212) 628-8383 for ticket information.
