Bear Illusion (Czech Republic), 1997/1999 Page 1 of 1 This series on the life of caged animals, in a zoological garden, is a visual poem, a metaphor of the illusion of freedom we surround ourselves with so we can unconsciously face up to the impact of the external unconfined world which seems to be so unfriendly and unbearable. But even in this enclosed, prison-like cramped environment we see the drama of solitude and dialogue, fatigue and desire, impasse and hope. Click on a thumbnail for more information: |
